Our KA210 Erasmus+ Project, named Think,Act,Live Green in which our school is a partner, including Estonia and Romania, has been awarded a grant. Congratulations to our teachers who contributed.
LOGO CONTEST
The logo competition of our project named KA210, titled Think,Act, Live Green was concluded. In the evaluation, where students from three countries competed, the logo prepared by Turkish student Tunahan Caliskan was determined as the project logo. We congratulate our student.
THE RESULT OF THE LOGO COMPETITION BETWEEN THE PROJECT PARTNERS HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED
In the logo competition held among the project partners, the logo prepared by the Turkish partner Konya Dolapoğlu Anatolian High School was chosen as the project logo.
OUR ESTONIA MOBILITY HAS STARTED
During this activity, students raised awareness in this field by examining in depth the contribution of renewable energy resources to their country's economy and their positive effects on the environment. Through various researches and presentations, they analyzed the impact of the transition to renewable energy on economic growth and developed their own ideas by discussing the energy policies in their countries.
In line with another important goal, studies have been carried out on the integration of the concept of renewable energy with different courses. Calculations on energy consumption and savings rates were made in the mathematics class, renewable energy types were discussed in detail in the science class, and presentations were made on these subjects in foreign language classes, improving both the language skills and environmental awareness of the students.
The posters and banners prepared by the students attracted great attention throughout the school, and thanks to the visuals and slogans displayed, awareness was raised among other students about energy saving and renewable energy. In addition, with the interactive activities, students got to know the concept of energy more closely, learned energy symbols and units, and were able to express energy transformations with concrete examples by explaining different types of energy with examples.
Students, who became aware of energy saving and efficiency, learned the law of conservation of energy and produced solutions on how to use energy more sustainably. By distinguishing between non-renewable and renewable energy sources, they have understood the environmental and economic importance of using renewable energy.
During this process, students; They have gained critical skills such as information literacy, science literacy, mathematical analysis, teamwork, efficiency, data interpretation, generalization and evaluation of results. In line with the main purpose of the program, students have learned to consider energy as a whole, to distinguish different energy types and sources, to understand energy transformations and efficiency, and to develop sustainable living habits for the future by becoming aware of energy saving.A quiz was held to reinforce students' knowledge on environmental protection and sustainable resources, and the ECO fashion parade offered students the opportunity to explore sustainability in the fashion industry. Additionally, a workshop called "Creativity with Reuse and Recycling" provided students with the ability to think creatively about reusing materials and reducing waste.
ROMANIAN MOBILITY HAS STARTED
In Romania, a number of educational initiatives focusing on sustainability and environmental protection have been implemented in the past. One of these initiatives was an interactive lecture titled "Green Living, Happy Living" by Daniela Barbu. Students were introduced to this course to understand the importance of sustainable living and had the opportunity to experience sustainable agricultural practices on site by visiting a local farm.Another important event is for 7th grade students, hosted by Prof. It is an interactive course taught by Cristina Bobocea. This course highlighted the importance of selective waste collection as a way to support the earth, and with a visit to RER Ecologic Service SRL in Brăila, students gained practical knowledge of waste management systems. Additionally, in a workshop titled "Sustainable City Model", students in mixed groups designed posters promoting sustainable city living.These events ended with a project meeting where the results and successes of various initiatives were evaluated, providing the opportunity to reflect on the development and thinking processes in the field of environmental sustainability.
Türkiye MOBILITY HAS STARTED
"What Do You Know About Konya?" is one of the events held in Konya. The quiz titled Enabled the participants to learn about the city's past and present-day dynamics and to test their knowledge. In addition, the presentation titled "Live Green", which aims to raise environmental awareness, was made by a student and provided important information on sustainable living practices.
A cultural tour was organized for the old city center in order to get to know Konya's cultural heritage closely. In this context, the Mevlana Museum, historical mosques and bazaars were visited and the historical texture of the city was introduced to the participants. Such events are of great value in terms of observing Konya's cultural heritage on site and establishing the connection between the past and the present.
Within the scope of artistic activities, a workshop on marbling art, one of the traditional Turkish arts, was held. Thanks to the Marbling Art workshop, participants had the chance to learn marbling techniques and create their own designs and did practical work such as bookmark design.
In order to raise environmental awareness, musical instruments produced with recycled materials were exhibited, thus emphasizing that waste materials can be used in an artistic and functional way. At the same time, presentations on "Change the World with Renewable Energy" and "Saving, Recycling, Green Economy, Sustainability" organized by Selçuk University Erasmus Office and Youth Support Association Environment Club made significant contributions to the adoption of environmentally friendly approaches and understanding the concept of sustainability.
Within the scope of the workshops, a presentation was made on "Bokashi Composting" and bokashi composting practice was carried out with organic waste. Additionally, a soap making workshop from organic waste was organized and the prepared soaps were given as gifts to students and teachers. Such practices encouraged participants in environmental awareness by providing concrete examples to contribute to sustainable environmental policies.
As a result, these events held in Konya provided participants with both theoretical and practical information and increased cultural, artistic and environmental awareness. Visiting historical places, carrying out artistic works and holding workshops on adopting environmentally friendly approaches contribute to the city's cultural heritage and sustainable future. Continuing such events is of great importance in terms of increasing the cultural awareness of the participants and spreading environmental awareness.
